Confirming the IP-VPN route information

When a VPN function is set using the IPv4 unicast routing information of the router,
execute a show ip route vpn and confirm whether the route to the relevant
destination address exists.

Confirming the MPLS label

Confirm the label and forwarding table using a show mpls forwarding-table
command when MPLS and IP-VPN for which MPLS is utilized are used.

When MPLS is used, specify an IP address using a show mpls forwarding-table
command and confirm that an output label is set.

When IP-VPN is used, specify VPN ID using a show mpls forwarding-table command
and confirm that an output label is set to the remote site and that an input label is
set to the local site. Also, specify the IP address of a remote BGP peer and confirm
that the output label for a BGP peer address is set. However, no output label is set
when the route to the BGP peer address is a multipath. In this case, there is no
problem if an output label is set to the VPN remote site.

The number of transmitted and received packets is displayed using a show mpls
forwarding-table command when the statistical collection and acquisition of
transmitted and received MPLS packet count are initiated on the output and input
labels. The number of transmitted and received packets is not displayed when the
statistical collection and acquisition of transmitted and received MPLS packet count
are not initiated on the relevant label.
