Check out the DLCI status using a show frame-relay command. The remedy
for DLCI status is shown in the table below.

destination device transmits. If so, it
counts up “In over maximum length
frames” in the statistics information
displayed by the show frame-relay
command.

3. Destination device might not recognize

DLCI to this router, or DLCI settings of
the destination device might be
incorrect.

1. Set encapsulation format of destination

device to IETF(RFC1940 or RFC2427).

2. Set max_packet_size in Frame Relay

configuration information to the packet
length that destination device transmits.

3. Ensure that destination device settings are

correct. If this router is connected using
point to point, inspect PVC (DLCI)
connection by using the

ping frame-relay

command.
