# Configure a local user.
Select Authentication > Users from the navigation tree. The Local User page appears, as shown
in Figure 37-7 . Click Add and then configure the local user as shown in Figure 37-8 .

Enter telnet as the username.
Enter abcd as the password.
Enter abcd to confirm the password.
Select Telnet as the service type.
Click Apply.
