IGMP Querier Mode

Syntax [no] igmp-mode <auto|querier|proxy>

Context

IP Configuration

context

Usage Set IGMP Querier mode. In auto mode the device will participate in the

querier election process (querier with lowest IP becomes querier). In forced
querier mode
the device will send IGMP queries even if there are other
querier present with lower IP address. In proxy mode the device will act
as an IGMP proxy, only initiating queries when no other eligible querier is
available.

Note: if there is no IP address configured for an interface, the device will
fall back to proxy mode regardless of the mode setting.

”no igmp-mode” resets the IGMP Querier mode to the default setting (”auto”).

Use ”show igmp-mode” to view configured IGMP Querier mode (”auto”,
”querier” or ”proxy”).
