RF Scanning
Enhancements

A new attribute,

sentry

, is now available to independently configure and

control scanning behaviors on radios. For example, a disabled radio does
not transmit or receive, and a radio that is scanning, but not providing
radio service to clients, is in sentry mode.

sentry

allows longer dwell

times on scanning channels than the

enable

mode. This attribute has

been added to the following commands:

set ap

apnum radio [1 | 2] mode [enable | sentry | disable]

set radio-profile

profile-name mode [enable | sentry |

disable]

The remainder of this section describes commands used to configure RF
scanning.
