Part 1 Installation
INTELLIGENT ACTUATOR
(1) Connect to the controller the motor cable, encoder cable and LS cable (optional) from the
actuator.
(2) Connect the controller to the relay box using the supplied relay cable.
(3) Connect the relay box to the ANSI-compatible teaching pendant (or ANSI-compatible PC cable).
Set both the mode switch on the controller and the AUTO/MANU selector switch on the relay
box to MANU. (Refer to p. 34)
(4) Connect the safety I/O terminals on the relay box to the drive-power cutoff control circuit.
(5) Supply the power to the AC control-power input connector.
Caution
Be sure to turn on the motor power after turning on the control power.
(6) The panel window will display the code "rdy" to indicate that the preparation is complete.
If "ErG" is displayed, it means that an emergency-stop signal is being input.
In the case of an absolute specification, "ECA1" will be displayed. Refer to Chapter 7, "How to
Perform An Absolute Encoder Reset."
