3.7.4.2 Create Pass-Through Disk

A pass-through disk is not controlled by the SAS RAID controller

firmware and thus cannot be a part of a volume set. The disk is

available directly to the operating system as an individual disk.

It is typically used on a system where the operating system is

on a disk not controlled by the SAS RAID controller firmware.

The SCSI Channel/SCSI ID/SCSI LUN, Write Protect, Cache

Mode, and Tag Queuing must be specified to create a

pass-through disk.
