9.5 Configuration data
9.5.1 Configuration data in general
The configuration data in tiamo is saved in the Configuration data-
base. Under configuration data is to be understood all settings for devi-
ces, titrants/solutions, sensors, common variables and rack data applying
to all methods; configuration data also includes Methods, Security set-
tings (see Chapter 6.2.2.1, page 1306), User administration (see
Chapter 6.2.1.1, page 1297), Program administration (see Chapter
6.2.3.1, page 1316), templates and Audit Trail (see Chapter 6.4, page
1346).
For local server systems (tiamo light, tiamo full) the configuration data-
base is located in the program folder of the computer on which the pro-
gram has been installed. In Client/Server systems (tiamo multi) the con-
figuration database is stored centrally on the server and saves and con-
tains all the configuration data of all computers (clients) that are connec-
ted to this server.
9.5.2 Export configuration data
How to proceed?
1 Select program part Configuration.
2 Click on the menu item File ▶ Export....
The dialog window Export configuration data opens.
3 Select desired configuration data.
4 Click on [OK].
The dialog window Export configuration data is closed and the
dialog window Save opened.
5 Select or enter name and directory for the export file. If an existing
export file is selected it will be overwritten.
6 Click on [Save].
The export of the configuration data is started.
The selected configuration data is then saved in a file with the exten-
sion .mcfg.
