Change the format stored in a preset-format button

After changing a preset format, you can store it in any of the preset-format selection buttons.
1.

Ensure the preview button is set to apply the new picture-in-picture format.

2.

Click Store.

The button turns red to show that it is active.

3.

Click any of the preset-format selection buttons.

iTX associates the new format with that button; the diagram on the button changes to

indicate the new format. The Store button returns to its normal color.
You can restore the default preset formats to all buttons at any time. You do this by right-

clicking the picture-in-picture button panel and selecting Reset PIP memories.

Set a mix transition into, and out of, a picture-in-picture effect

After selecting the picture-in-picture format, do the following if you want the secondary video

to fade in at the start and fade out at the end.
1.

Ensure the zoom option is not selected; i.e. the Zoom button does not show green.

2.

Do one of the following to set the duration of the mix transition (in seconds:frames).

Click Slow, Med or Fast to select a preset duration. The value for the duration appears

in the Dur box.

Enter a value directly in the Dur box.

Click Store Changes.

Set a zoom action into, and out of, a picture-in-picture effect

After selecting the picture-in-picture format, do the following if you want the primary video to

squeeze into a smaller area and reveal the secondary video underneath; at the end of the

effect, it performs the same action in the reverse direction.
1.

Select Zoom (the button displays a green light).

2.

Do one of the following to set the duration of the zoom action (in seconds:frames).

Click Slow, Med or Fast to select a preset duration. The value for the duration appears

in the Dur box.

Enter a value directly in the Dur box.
