The CG application

Save changes in a new CG template

In this procedure, you create a new CG template – after either making changes to an existing

CG template or designing a new CG template.
1.

Click Save As to display the CG Save As dialog.

2.

Do the following to create a new CG template.

In the Media Watcher box, select a Media Watcher. If there is more than one Media

Watcher in your system, you may need to ask your system administrator which one to

use.

In the Name box, enter a name for the CG template.

Click OK.

The CG application saves the new CG template as a file with a ".cap" filename extension.

Export a CG template as a graphic

1.

After creating your CG, click Export Graphic to display the standard Windows Save As

dialog.

2.

Select a folder; enter a name for the graphic in the File name box; click Save.

The CG application saves the CG template as a graphics file with a ".png" filename

extension.

Load an animated logo

When the CG application is in the template operating mode, you can import an animated logo

from the Media Store and add it to a CG. The logo may be in one of two Grass Valley formats:

SPG or VAF. The logo sequence must have been ingested onto the Media Store from a TZip file.

A CG with an animated logo must also contain at least one text layer. If no text is to be

displayed with the animated logo, simply create a text block and enter a blank space (press the

space bar).

Click Set Animated Background.

The CG application opens PinPoint, the iTX search tool.

2.

Use PinPoint to select an animated logo.

iTX displays the file name below the Set Animated Background button.

Note:

The CG application does not display the animated logo in the workspace.

You may clear the background by clicking C next to the Set Animated Background button.

iTX caches animated logos before playing them out.
