Common operational tasks for iTX Desktop features

Copy Guard settings

When iTX plays out a video clip, it may insert a copy-protection flag into the video signal. The

flag can have any of a number of states, indicating the copying permissions for the video clip:

Copy Freely. The clip can be copied an unlimited number of times.

Copy No More. The clip has been copied once; no further copies can be made.

Copy Once. The clip can be copied once.

Copy Never. The clip cannot be copied.

By default, iTX sets the copy protection for a video clip to Copy Freely. You can change this

setting.

Display the Clip Properties dialog

1.

Load a voiceover clip or a video clip in the Content Selector or Event Editor.

2.

Click Properties to display the Clip Properties dialog.

You may change any of the settings in this dialog.

3.

To save any changes, click OK to close the dialog.

Select the audio output channels for a voiceover clip or a secondary video clip

1.

Select the check boxes of the pins for the channels you want iTX to play out audio content

on. Ensure the check boxes for other pins are not selected.

A check box displays a tick,

, when it is selected; , a cross,

, when it is not.

Set the source format and active region of a video clip

1.

Select a source format in the Source Format box.

2.

Select an active region in the Active Region box.

iTX updates the value in the Equivalent Source AFD box.

Note:

You can use a clip template to apply the same source format and active region to multiple

video clips.

Mark a video clip as stereoscopic-3D

When working with a 3D channel, you need to identify which clips are stereoscopic-3D

formatted and which are not.
1.

Do one of the following depending on the video-clip format.

For a video clip that is stereoscopic-3D formatted, select Stereoscopic.
