Video is not output

from digital input.

[1] The set time for monitoring a no-signal input may be too short.

83

[2] Change the settings of input equalizer.

87

Video is not output

from analog input.

[3] Change the input signal type.

88

Video is not output

[4] If the source device has multiple output connectors, check the video

output settings of the device.

Video is not

displayed, video is

interrupted, or noise

appears on the

video.

[5] If using a long cable for input or output, replace it with a 5 m/16.4 ft. or

shorter cable. Since the MSD has a compensatory function, long cables

can be connected, but the MSD may not provide its full performance

depending on the cable quality and the connected device. If the problem

is solved by replacing the cable, signals might have been degraded due

to the long haul transmission. We have high-quality cables, equalizers,

and extenders. Please contact us as needed.

[6] When high-speed signals are input or output (high resolution such as

UXGA, WUXGA, 1080p and the like, and DEEP COLOR signals), video

may not be displayed or noise may appear depending on the cable

quality and the connected device. If the problem occurs only when a

specific input is selected, the problem was caused by the input side. If it

occurs for all inputs or only when test patterns are displayed, the problem

was caused by the output side. Change the resolution to a lower level

and/or turn off Deep color.

You can check the resolution and color depth of the input signals in

8.18.7 status “and can limit resolution and color depth of signals to be

input depending on the EDID setting.

You can set output resolution arbitrarily and can also check the color

depth of the output signals in 8.18.8 Display device status and limit

the color depth to be output.

Input video and test

pattern are not

output.

[7] If you set the output resolution other than “AUTO”, check if the

selected resolution is supported by the sink device.

If you select 480i, 576i, or 1080i, video may not be output to sink devices

that do not support interlaced signals.

For TV output resolutions (480i to 1080p), check the vertical

synchronous frequency. PC output resolutions (VGA to QWXGA) may

not be output to LCD or plasma TVs.

49

Video is interrupted.

If you set 8.5.5 Automatic detection of input video interruption to

“ON”, false detection may be given. Set the setting to “OFF”.

89

Video is interrupted

or noise appears on

the video.

If the problem occurs only with specific digital inputs, change settings of

the input equalizer.

87

If the problem occurs with all input channels or when a test pattern is

displayed and if a long cable is connected for output, change the output

equalizer setting.
