Select Add to create a new aging rules configuration, Edit to modify an existing configuration or
Delete to remove an existing configuration.
Aging Rules Configuration
Aging rules define the minimum and maximum age, freshness factor and URL expression types
used in the smart caching policy. Aging rules manage the expiration of content in cache. Freshness
is an expression of how long Web content resides on the service platform’s local cache before
updated or removed.
To define an aging rules configuration:
1. From the Aging Rules screen, select Add to create a new aging rule configuration, Edit to
modify an existing configuration or Delete to remove an existing configuration.

Minimum Age This is the time an object without an explicit expiry time is considered fresh. A response can't be stale
unless its time in the cache exceeds the minimum value.
Maximum Age Lists the maximum period (as an upper limit) on how long objects without an explicit expiry time are
considered fresh. A response cannot be fresh unless the period in the cache is less than the maximum
time.
Freshness Factor Displays a percentage indicating data cache duration and the time cache content was last modified in
respect to an explicit expiry time.
URL Regex Lists the URL regex expression as an integer. Using regex, regular expressions are used to match any
part of a requested URL, including the transfer protocol and origin server hostname.
