4.2.1 System Information
Use the System Information screen to display descriptive information about the Managed Switch, or for quick system
identification. You can easily identify the system by displaying the device name, location and contact information. The System
Information screen in Figure 4-2-1 appears.

The page includes the following fields:
Object Description
• System Name - Enter the name you want to use to identify this switch.
You may use up to 31 alpha-numeric characters.
The factory default is blank.
• Object ID - The base object ID for the Managed Switch's enterprise MIB.
• Location - Enter the location of this Managed Switch.
You may use up to 31 alpha-numeric characters. The factory default is blank.
• Contact - Enter the contact person for this switch.
You may use up to 31 alpha-numeric characters.
The factory default is blank.
• System Up time - The time in days, hours and minutes since the last switch reboot.
This page also includes a Telnet button that allows access to the Command Line Interface via Telnet.
