Command Usage

You may use an symbolic email address that identifies the switch, or the address of an
administrator responsible for the switch.

Example

Console(config)#logging sendmail source-email [email protected]

Console(config)#

show logging sendmail

This command displays the settings for the SMTP event handler.

Time

The system clock can be dynamically set by polling a set of specified time servers (NTP or SNTP).
Maintaining an accurate time on the switch enables the system log to record meaningful dates and
times for event entries. If the clock is not set, the switch will only record the time from the factory
default set at the last bootup.
