3.6.1

Operation of controllers in UL-approved systems

-

Use only UL-approved fuses and fuse holders:

- 500 V to 600 V in the mains input (AC, F1 ... F3),

- 700 V in the voltage DC bus (DC, F4/F5),

- Activation characteristic ”H” or ”K5”.

-

Only use UL-approved cables

Note!

-

UL-approved fuses and fuse holder are produced and sold by e.g.
Gemballa Electronics GmbH in Kaltenkirchen, Germany.

-

DC fuses as part of the Lenze accessories are UL approved.

3.6.1.1

Protection of the motor cables

-

For functional reasons, the motor cables need not to be protected by fuses
if you only connect a motor per controller.

-

If you want to drive several motors in parallel connected to a controller, an
individual cable protection is required when reducing the cable
cross-section.

-

Refer to the data listed in ”Operation with mains filter/mains choke”
