In the dialog box, check the Enable Normalization box to activate normalization for
the MatchSet.
Normalization Formula
Normalization in PDQuest is performed for each gel in a MatchSet using the
following formula:
Normalized spot quantity = Raw spot quantity * Scaling factor * Pipetting error
compensation factor (if any) / Normalization factor
Raw spot quantity is the unnormalized quantity (intensity) of each spot,
Scaling factor is a factor you select to give a meaningful value (see below), and
Normalization factor is calculated for each gel based on the normalization method
you select (see below).
