.

of auto transitions, switching with Cut and the recalling of snapshots and
timelines. In position
Any Field
switching occurs at the beginning of the next
frame. In position

sponding field.
KayakHD MultiMix Mode
MultiMix
mode offers the user the option of using different transition types
for individual transition components simultaneously.
Example:
•
BGND-Transition is Main Wipe1
•
Key1-Transition is Keyer-Wipe (related to the source of the inhibit mask
of the keyer)
•
Key2-Transition is Mix
How to assign transition types and perform a MultiMix transition:
Selected transition components (lighted) are assigned a transition type by
pressing the desired type. To assign Mix to Key 1 and 2, press Key 1 and 2
so they are lit, then press the Mix transition type.
To perform the MultiMix transition with separate types, deselect the lit
transition type button (Mix, Wipe, etc.), then simultaneously press the
buttons for the desired transition components to select for the next transi-
tion (Bgnd, Key1, Key 2, Misc 1, etc.), and perform the transition.
With Offset Transitions the user can additionally specify individual start
and end times within the total transition for each component.
Example:
•
BGND transition starts at 0% and ends at 50% of the total transition
•
Key1 transition starts at 52% and ends at 100% of the total transition
•
Key2 transition starts at 80% and ends at 100% of the total transition
Note
Offset Transition only works when MultiMix is on.
The MultiMix Mode, due to some hardware limitations, has some side
effects (see
). For compatibility reasons it is gener-
ally disabled by default on application level. The MultiMix mode can be
enabled in the configuration menu.
Note
For MultiMix mode, a Sidepanel PC is recommended to provide a way to
adjust the Offset Transition parameters.
