DPM Menus
Field Interpolation Mode button (See Figure 177 )—When a video source has
unwanted artifacts during a transform, pressing the Field button forces it to
Field Mode which can remove the unwanted artifacts.
For example, when pre-edited material is transformed in the DPM, a cut
between similar sources is sometimes interpolated in Frame Mode. The
result is a shadow of the frame before the cut, appearing in the frame after
the cut. Forcing the Field Mode eliminates this shadow artifact.
Note Recalling an older EMEM will not affect interpolation modes set by new
EMEMs, so in some cases it may be necessary to re-save older EMEMs with
the desired interpolation modes set. The default mode for older EMEMs is
Adaptive.
