6.1.1 Reference Unit

A reference unit is the unit of measure used for positioning. In the MP930 the reference unit
can be millimeters, degrees, inches, or pulses. It is also referred to as a minimum reference unit
when it expresses the minimum measurement unit for a position. The minimum reference unit
is determined by two fixed parameters: Reference Unit Selection and Number of Digits Left
of Radix Point.
