Setting the Zero Point for an Infinite Length Mode Axis
Execute the ZSET motion command (zero point setting).
The system will check pulse position at power OFF, encoder position at power OFF, and all
position data when the zero point is set.
The following illustration shows the procedure for setting the zero point for an Infinite Length
Mode Axis.
Start
Servo ON
Repeat for every axis.
YES
NO
JOG to move close to the
zero point.
STEP to move to the
zero point.
Set the zero point.
*2
Has the setting for the required
axis been completed?
End
Set the desired position at OLxx06.
*1
* 1. With an Infinite Length Mode Axis, the setting parameter OLxx06: Zero Point Offset is only enabled
when the ZSET command is executed. Therefore, the OLxx06 value must be set at the M register.
Set the desired coordinates at Zero Point Offset (OLxx06) when using an Infinite Length Mode Axis
Example:
When setting the current stop position to 0 (zero point position for the machine coordinate system)
0 → OLxx06
* 2. Execute with the ZSET command.
