12.11 Notes on the number of controllable drives

12.11.1 Introduction

The number and type of controlled drives and the extra activated functions on a Control Unit

can be scaled by configuring the firmware. The maximum possible functionality depends on

the computing power of the Control Unit used and may be checked in each case using the

SIZER projecting tool.

12.11.2 Number of controllable drives

The following specifications provide a rough guide to the potential drive numbers for each

Control Unit CU320 as a function of the current and speed controller clock cycles and the

sampling times of the frequency/voltage channels with vector V/f.
