Configuration

The most important functions (function of the sensor / actuator signals via the ASi BUS and the "on board
potentiometers" P1 and P2 (only SK 2x0E S 4 and SK 2x5E)) can be set on the frequency inverter via DIP4
and DIP 5 of the DIP switch block S1 (Section 5.2.2.2)

Alternatively, the functions can also be assigned via the arrays [-

01] … [-04] of parameters (P480) and

(P481) (Section: 6). However, changes to these parameters are only effective if the DIP switch S1: (DIP4
and DIP5) are set to the "0"

(„OFF“) position. With SK 2x5E devices, the integrated potentiometers P1 and

P2 are also available. The functions of these must be set in the arrays [-01] and [-02] of parameter (P400).

NOTE

In the default settings of the DIP switches (DIP 4/5 = off), the digital inputs of the frequency
inverter are active.

However, as soon as one of the two DIP switches is set to the position "ON", the functions
of the digital inputs are switched off. However, the gateway function of digital inputs 1 and
2 to the ASi Out bits 2 and 3 is retained.

NOTE

SK 2x5E:
Due to the low load reserves of the low voltage with the use of the AS interface, it is
recommended that parameterisation of the frequency inverter is carried out with the aid of
the NORD CON software. Especially with longer operation, the use of a ParameterBox
(SK PAR-3H / SK CSX-3H) may cause damage to the frequency inverter.

Addressing

In order to use a frequency inverter in an ASi network, this must be assigned with a unique address (1-31).
The FI is set to address 1 as the factory setting, and can therefore be identified as a "new device" by the
AS-i master (prerequisite for the automatic address assignment by the master).

In many other cases, addressing is carried out by means of a normal addressing device for AS-i slaves. The
following should be noted:

SK 2x0E

Ensure power supply of the ASi interface via the yellow ASi cable.

Disconnect the AS-i master during addressing

Set the address ≠ 0

Do not doubly assign addresses

Normal hand-held units can be used for the addressing of the frequency inverter. Typical manufacturers are
Pepperl+Fuchs (e.g.: VBP-HH1-V3.0-V1) and IFM (e.g.: AC1154).

SK 2x5E

Do not use the internal voltage source of the addressing device (FI power consumption) →

Ensure power supply of the frequency inverter via the yellow ASi cable.

Disconnect the AS-i master during addressing

Set the address ≠ 0

Do not doubly assign addresses

Commercially available handheld boxes can be used for addressing of the frequency inverter. A typical
manufacturer is Pepperl+Fuchs (e.g.: VBP-HH1-V3.0-V1). For SK 225E and SK 235E devices, addressing
boxes without an external power supply cannot supply the necessary current of 290mA which is required to
supply the control level of the frequency inverter. Therefore a version must be selected, which is matched to
the outline conditions of the frequency inverter.

The following lists the possibilities for the practical implementation of the addressing of an SK 22xE/SK23xE
using an addressing unit.
