Fundamentals

The following information is known from the manual:

If the AS interface is used with the device versions SK 225E and SK 235E, the voltage supply of the
frequency inverter is only via the yellow AS-i cable. On terminal "44" of the frequency inverter, in this
case a 24 V DC voltage is provided, which may be used to supply any actuators

(∑ 60 mA). The

additional connection of a control voltage to the frequency inverter is not permissible in this
case and will result in damage to the device.

Important supplementary information

Please note the following supplementary information:

NOTICE

Defects due to short circuit

The terminal "44" is not protected against short circuit. For example, if a short circuit is caused by an actuator
which is supplied via this terminal, this will result in damage to the control board of the frequency inverter and
failure of the AS-i bus.

To avoid this fault, please not the following possibilities:

Variant 1

– connection to 24 V (Terminal 44)

• Additional protection of Terminal 44 by the inclusion of a microfuse.
• Electrical data for the microfuse: 63 mA, fast acting.
• The limit of 60 mA for the maximum load (total current) must be complied with.
