Shifting of Softkey Positions for Busy States
Administrators can shift the softkey position for busy states using the “collapsed context user
softkey screen
” parameter. If this parameter is configured, user programmable softkeys 1 and 2
on the 6735i, 6737i, 6755i, 6757i, 6757iCT, 9480i, and 9480iCT phones will appear on page 1 in
position 4 and 5 during the following states:
• outgoing
• ringing
• connected
• hold
If there are more than two softkeys, the phone will still show the “More” key and then show
softkey 3 on the next page in position 1.

If applicable, in the "Value" field, enter a value to associate with the softkey. For example, for a
speeddial value, you can enter a number you want to use for the speeddial key, or 12345+ as a
speeddial prefix.

If applicable, in the "Line" field, select the line for which you want to associate the softkey.

Some softkey types allow you to configure specific operational states.
Operational states display to the IP phone when a softkey is used.
To enable/disable an operational state, click the "Idle", "Connected", "Incoming", or "Outgoing"
fields to check or uncheck the box.
Note: Operational states are not applicable to expansion modules.

For programmable keys:

In the “Hard Key” field, select the programmable key type you want to configure.

Note:
The phone defined context-sensitive softkeys (including empty/
unassigned keys) will remain in the same location. As a result, some
screens may only show 1 additional softkey (e.g. softkey 1).
