sip dns host file

Configuration Files

aastra.cfg, <model>.cfg, <mac>.cfg

Description

The UNIX-format host file on the configuration server. The phone(s)
download this file to perform DNS lookups on the local network instead of
the service provider’s public network.

Note: If using a text file on a PC to enter this value, you must enter a
carriage return (CR) after entering the host file name.

Format

UNIX format using Carriage Return (CR) or Carriage Return + Line Feed
(CRLF) to terminate each line

File name allows Alpha-numeric characters

The “X” indicate a record number
with values from 1 to 4.

The priority level assigned to this DNS server. After this parameter is
downloaded from the configuration server to the phone, the phone uses
the DNS server with the lowest numbered priority first to perform DNS
lookups.
