8.1.8 show msglog

This command displays the message log maintained by the switch. The message log contains system trace information.

The trap log contains a maximum of 256 entries that wrap.

Message - The message that has been logged.

Message log information is not retained across a switch reset.

8.1.9 show running-config

This command is used to display the current setting of different protocol packages supported on switch. This command displays

only those parameters, the values of which differ from default value. The output is displayed in the script format, which can be

used to configure another switch with same configuration.

8.1.10 show sysinfo

This command displays switch information.

Switch Description - Text used to identify this switch.

System Name - Name used to identify the switch.

System Location - Text used to identify the location of the switch. May be up to 31 alpha-numeric characters. The factory

default is blank.

System Contact - Text used to identify a contact person for this switch. May be up to 31 alphanumeric characters. The

factory default is blank.

System ObjectID - The base object ID for the switch's enterprise MIB.

System Up Time - The time in days, hours and minutes since the last switch reboot.

MIBs Supported - A list of MIBs supported by this agent.

8.1.11 snmp-server

This command sets the name and the physical location of the switch, and the organization responsible for the network.The

range for name, location and contact is from 1 to 31 alphanumeric characters.

Default None

Format snmp-server {sysname <name> | location <loc> | contact <con>}
