7.2 Remote Communication Parameters

A parameter is selected for entry by positioning the box cursor at the desired value
following the parameter description. New values are input from the front panel and
completed by pressing the Enter key. Values are cleared by pressing the Clear key.

Figure 7-2 Remote Communications Display

Some parameters are applicable only for optional equipment. Parameters dealing
with the optional IEEE-GPIB interface have a  flag.

REMOTE COMM. PATH . . . . . . . . . 0/1/2

This parameter selects between the two types of communications
configurations available. Parameter values range from 0 to 2. RS-232C is
selected by entering the value 1. A value of 2 selects GPIB (). A value of 0
turns the Remote Comm. Path off. The default is 0.

DATALOGGING PATH . . . . . . . . . 0/1/2/4

This parameter determines the path for the Datalog output. A value of 0 turns
datalogging off. A value of 1 outputs the Datalog string to the RS-232C port. A
value of 4 outputs the Datalog string to the floppy disk. The default value is 0.
Refer to

section 3.6.10 on page 3-40

for details on the Datalog string.

NOTE: If a configuration file from a unit with version 3.50 or earlier firmware is

to be loaded into a unit with version 3.60 or later, verify that the path is
not set to 3 as this will prevent the file from loading due to a "File
Range Error".

PRINT SCREEN PATH . . . . . . . . 0/1/2/4

This parameter determines which path to output the print screen function.
