IC/5 Operating Manual

NOTE: If a configuration file from a unit with version 3.50 or earlier firmware is

to be loaded into a unit with version 3.60 or later, verify that the path is
not set to 3 as this will prevent the file from loading due to a "File
Range Error".

RS-232C BAUD RATE. . . . . . . . . . . 2400/4800/9600/19200

For RS-232C serial interfaces, this parameter sets the rate for data transfer.
Permissible values are; 2400, 4800, 9600, and 19200. The default value is
2400.

RS-232C CHECKSUM. . . . . . . . . . . YES/NO

This parameter provides the choice of having a Checksum when using
RS-232C. For the INFICON format, the Checksum is an 8-bit unsigned sum of
the command bytes. See

section 7.6 on page 7-8

for more information on

message protocol. Permissible values for this parameter are YES and NO. The
default value is NO.

IEEE488 ADDRESS

For IEEE-GPIB interfaces, the GPIB address is a number which identifies an
IC/5 to the Host Computer. Values range from 0 to 30. The default value is 3.

DATA LOG FORMAT . . . . . . . . . . . . 0 = page, 1 = comma delimited

This parameter allows a choice between a page format and a quotation
mark/comma delimited format. The quotation mark/comma delimited format is
to allow importation of the Data Log string from a floppy disk file into a
spreadsheet program.

DATA LOG XTAL HISTORY . . . . . . YES/NO

This parameter selects whether to output the crystal use history. Refer to

section 3.6.10 on page 3-40

.
