3.5.5.1 General Configuration

3.5.5.1.1 Select Message Service - +CSMS

+CSMS - Select Message Service

SELINT 0 / 1

AT+CSMS
[=<service>]

Set command selects messaging service <service>. It returns the types of
messages supported by the ME:

Parameter:
<service>

0 - The syntax of SMS AT commands is compatible with GSM 07.05

Phase 2 version 4.7.0 (factory default)


Set command returns current service setting along with the types of
messages supported by the ME:

+CSMS: <service>,<mt>,<mo>,<bm>

where:
<mt> - mobile terminated messages support
0 - type not supported
1 - type supported
<mo> - mobile originated messages support
0 - type not supported
1 - type supported
<bm> - broadcast type messages support
0 - type not supported
1 - type supported

Note: If parameter is omitted then the behavior of Set command is the same
as Read command.

AT+CSMS?

Read command reports current service setting along with supported
message types in the format:

+CSMS: <service>,<mt>,<mo>,<bm>

where:
<service> - messaging service (see above)
<mt> - mobile terminated messages support (see above)
<mo> - mobile originated messages support (see above)
<bm> - broadcast type messages support (see above)

AT+CSMS=?

Test command reports a list of all services supported by the device. The
supported value of the parameter <service>.
