+CNMI - New Message Indications To Terminal Equipment SELINT 2
AT+CNMI? Read command returns the current parameter settings for +CNMI
command in the form:
+CNMI: <mode>,<mt>,<bm>,<ds>,<bfr>
AT+CNMI=? Test command reports the supported range of values for the +CNMI
command parameters.

Note DTR signal is ignored, hence the indication is sent even if the DTE is
inactive ( DTR signal is Low). In this case the unsolicited result code
may be lost so if MODULE remains active while DTE is not, at DTE
startup is suggested to check whether new messages have reached
the device meanwhile with command AT+CMGL=0 that lists the new
messages received.
Note It has been necessary to take the following decisions to get over any
incoherence problem in a multiplexed environment (see +CMUX), due
to the possibility to have contemporaneous different settings of
parameter <mt> in different sessions:
Message Class or
