To raise the Base Peak Gain, increase the value of the EM Voltage by 25
volts
. To lower the BPG, decrease the value of the EM Voltage by 25 volts.

Check the Base Peak Gain value to see if the BPG is now in the range (0.8 to
2.0)

If the Base Peak Gain is still out of range, repeat

until the value comes

into range.

If the Base Peak Gain is in range, continue with

Check the Tune and Mass Calibration Status panel to see if any of the masses
are highlighted in red. A red box indicates the mass is High or Low. See

Figure

7-32

.

If all mass percentages are within limits, then the instrument is tuned. Proceed
to

section 7.6.2, Adjusting Resolution, on page 7-29
