￭ Procedure
Undiluted sample is added to the measur-
ing vessel. ￭ Procedure
The sample is diluted with a dilution solu-
tion before the determination. Of the total
volume of sample and dilution solution (=
Dilution volume), a part (= Analytical
volume) is then added to the measuring
vessel.
￭ Sample addition with ADD SAMPLE
The sample volume (= Sample amount) is
added to the measuring vessel with the
ADD SAMPLE command. ￭ Sample addition with ADD SAMPLE
The Analytical volume is added to the
measuring vessel with the ADD SAMPLE
command.

CONC = CONCM * (VTOT / VSMPL)
CONC = concentration in the sample
CONCM = concentration in the measuring
vessel
VTOT = total volume in the measuring ves-

VSMPL = sample amount

No sample amount has to be entered for the suppressor determina-
tion. The sample is added with the ADD SAMPLE DT command, in
which the addition volume is defined.
Standard solution
Designation for all calibration and spiking solutions used for calibration
methods with and without solution exchange.
Substance
Chemical substance (element or compound), the concentration of which is
to be determined by means of a measurement procedure.
