Data Fields and Buttons

Note that the toolset edit panel contains several data entry fields, “buttons,”
check boxes, and data displays.

Here is a brief description of each data entry field in the toolset edit panel:

Num –– This field contains the sequence number of an inspection tool:
#1, #2, #3, and so on. It indicates the order in which the CVIM2 system
processes the tool. (This is important for applications using reference
tools and image tools.) The cursor arrow (

→) indicates the currently

selected sequence number for the purpose of adding, cutting, copying, or
pasting a new inspection tool (see the add, cut, copy, and paste
descriptions below).

Name –– Use this field to select a name for an inspection tool. (The
default names for the inspection tools are

Tool 1

,

Tool 2

, and

Tool 3

, and

so on, but you can change them to suit your application.)

Type –– This field indicates the inspection tool type (gage, window, and
so on). Pick this field to open the tool definition dialog field.

Condition –– Use this field to enable or disable the selected inspection
tool, and to select other conditions that determine whether the tool will
execute.
