Inspection Tools

This section discusses windows and the inspection functions (“operations”)
that the windows can perform.
Once you have selected a window as outlined in the Overview: Inspection
Tool Selection Process section (page 7–1), you can configure it for an
inspection application by picking the
Window
field in the toolset edit panel.
When you do, the window tool edit panel appears, as shown by the example
in Figure 7.24.

and position on the screen.
The window tool edit panel (named “
Toolset 1.Tool 5 Edit
” in Figure 7.24)
contains several parameter selection fields and buttons, which are described
briefly as follows:

Operation –– This field provides access to the selection of one of the
window “operations.” The default window operation is
White Pixels
,
which is a pixel–counting operation.
