Y only

The Y only operation consists of a single reference line that lies along the
vertical (Y) axis of the image field. Y only is appropriate in applications
where workpiece shift is expected in the Y–axis, but not in the X–axis.
Figure 6.4 shows a Y only reference line detecting Y–axis workpiece shift
and applying Y–axis shift to a line gage.
