Gray Scale Morphology

As shown in Figure 8.13 (page 8–15), the gray scale selection panel contains
several boxes and a

button.

The boxes in the gray scale selection panel, and the method of selecting the
parameters that they represent, are described briefly as follows:

Mode –– Use this box to select either the binary or the gray scale
morphology function for

Morph 1

.

Binary

is the default mode selection.

When you pick this box,

Binary

toggles to

Gray

, or vice versa.

Border –– Use this box to select either a black or white inside border for
the window.

Black

is the default border selection.

When you pick this box,

Black

toggles to

White

, or vice versa.

Function –– Use this to select a gray scale function.

Max, Min –– Use either or both of these two groups of seven boxes to
configure the gray scale “kernel” structure, which determines, along with
the selected function, the effect of the gray scale morphology processing.

Done –– Use the

button to save the entries in the gray scale

Morph
