near) point A and drag the

The pick and place function operates the same with a reference line as it does
with a line gage, except that since a reference line can lie only on either the
X–axis or the Y–axis, it can be shortened or lengthened only along its
designated axis, within the limits of the image field. It can, however, be
positioned anywhere, so long as it lies entirely within the image field.

When you select an arc gage and then pick the

button in the gage

edit panel, the gage color changes from red to green, and the

Pick & Place

panel appears, as shown in Figure 5.3.
