The measuring system for positioning has the following features:
ƒ The zero position of the measuring system has a firm reference to the machine due
to the home position.
ƒ The home position is found out by homing.
ƒ The software limit positions (SW−LimNeg, SW−LimPos) refer to the zero position.
ƒ The zero position can be shifted via the offset values C3011 (home offset) and
C3012 (measure offset)(
¶ 187).
ƒ The data for C3051 (actual position in units) and C3056 (target position in
increments) refer to the zero position of the measuring system.
