Note!

The settings are required for operation with a linear or continuous
positioning axis.

Comply with the commissioning steps in the given order.

Mains is switched off. (Green LED is dark, red LED is
blinking)

l

Controller inhibit is active.

– Press the <F9> key in GDC.
– X6/SI1 orX6/SI2 must be open (LOW).
– Control bit Ctrl1.Rsp = 1

Switch on low−voltage supply
(24 V DC).

Connect PC/laptop (with
installed GDC parameter
setting program) to
controller.

Connection to X14 (system bus (CAN)) with PC system bus
adapter EMF2177IB.

Start GDC and select the
device to be set.

Select device:
Change to the online mode via the GDC toolbar with the
<F4> key and select "Searching for drives" using the <F2>
key.

ð The drive is identified and the parameter menu is opened.

Load Lenze setting.

Not required for initial commissioning of the axis module.

l

Only recommended if the Lenze setting is unclear.

Comm. parameters − CAN interface:

CAN node address (via DIP switch or C0350/C2450)

Baud rate (via DIP switch or C0351/C2451)

l

C0356 (CAN boot up/cycle time)

l

C1120 = 1 (sync connection via MotionBus (CAN))

l

C1121 (synchronisation cycle [in ms])

Comm. parameters − AIF interface:
Please also read the documentation for the Lenze
communication module used!
AIF: Electrical shaft via EtherCAT with PLC as electrical shaft
master (EMF2192IB)

l

C1120 = 2 (synchronisation via terminal X6/DI1)

l

C1121 (synchronisation cycle [in ms])

l

The synchronisation cycle set under C1121 must be set
the same as the transmission cycle of the sync telegrams.

Set mains data.

Set the following codes in the GDC parameter menu under
Short setup

W Mains:

l

C0173 (voltage thresholds)

l

C0175 (function of the charge relay)
– For operation with the power supply module ECSxE set

C0175 = 3.

Enter motor data.

Lenze motors:
Use the GDC motor assistant.

Motors from other manufacturers:
Set the codes in the GDC parameter menu under
Motor/feedback systems

W Motor setting.

Configure holding brake.

l

Not required if a holding brake is not available;

otherwise

l

Set C4023 (speed threshold) > 0 (e.g. 1 %) to apply the
holding brake.
