Setting of homing parameters

Example: Reference search with continuous positioning axis

Process

1. Homing is started by activating the positioning profile.

2. During homing the status bit Stat1.HomeBusy is set to TRUE.

3. The drive travels to the negative hardware limit switch (

0)and reverses (1).

Since the limit switch is also used as reference switch, "Reference known" is set after
the limit switch is left at the next zero pulse (

4) of the position encoder (status bit

Stat1.HomePosAvailable= TRUE).

4. The drive then continues traversing without interruption to the target position (

5)

which has been defined as offset to the home position under C3011 (

2).

5. When the target position is reached, homing is completed.

– Status bit Stat1.HomeBusy = FALSE
– Status bit Stat1.HomePosAvailable = TRUE

Example: Reference search with continuous positioning axis

For applications with an unlimited traversing range (e. g. conveying belts and rotary tables)
the reference is always searched via a mark. In that case, the reference switch serves as a
mark sensor.

Settings for homing mode 8

ƒ

Set homing mode 8 with C3010 = 8.

ƒ

Define traversing speed via C3013.

ƒ

Define acceleration/deceleration via C3014.

ƒ

When homing is completed, select the target position as offset with regard to the
home position via C3011.
