6.17.14 Activating the profile continuation function
This function can be activated by setting C3096/x.Bit2 = 1 (xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.x1xx).
Profile continuation function is not active (default):
After a running positioning process is interrupted, e.g. by a fault, this positioning process
is considered to be completed with regard to a restart of the same positioning profile. After
a restart, the complete distance would be travelled anew in case of relative positioning.
Profile continuation function is active (C3096/x.bit2 = 1):
After a restart of the same profile, this is first travelled to the end automatically. If the
aborted profile is to be continued when the profile is restarted (change to "Positioning"
status), the corresponding profile number in control bit Ctrl1.PNoSet_x must also be
selected. Status word1 contains the number of the interrupted profile (Stat1.PNoAct_x).
If another profile number is selected in the control word (bit Ctrl1.PNoSet_x), this other
profile is executed and the interrupted profile will not be completed.
Entering the profile number 0 (Ctrl1.PNoSet_x =0) deletes the information on the stopped
profile. A new positioning process can be started by entering a valid profile number
(Ctrl1.PNoSet_x > 0).
If a positioning profile with activated profile continuation function is stopped, the
Stat2.ProfCont bit of status word2 is set to 1.

Note!
The profile continuation function for the profile set 15 is deactivated
independent of the setting in C3096/x.bit2 if the profile set 15 is used as a
continuation profile of the Touch−Probe profile defined in profile set 14.
