6.17.7 Direct positioning
6.17.7.1 Absolute positioning (direct)

Positioning is executed the same way as it is the case with absolute positioning (
¶ 193),
with the following differences:
ƒ The position selection is carried out in the process data telegram via "PosDirect" in
increments (65536 incr. = 1 motor revolution).
ƒ The speed selection is effected in the process data telegram via "VelDirect" in

Preconditions
ƒ Status bit Stat1.HomePosAvailable = 1
ƒ Control bit Ctrl1.PosDirect = 1 (selection of direct positioning)
ƒ From software version V2.0, the control bit Ctrl1.PosDirect is redundant. Thus, there
is no need for it anymore to be set as precondition for the direct positioning.
6.17.7.2 Relative positioning in the continuous measuring system (direct)

ƒ Positioning is executed the same way as it is the case with relative positioning in the
continuous measuring system (
