Configuring the electrical shaft ("E−Shaft")

Electrical shaft via MotionBus (CAN) with ECSxP as electrical shaft master

EDBCSXP064 EN 8.0

Brief description

Setting

11. Set electrical shaft

speed−proportional
angular offset.

l

C4060 = (−)16400 inc; set the speed−proportional angular offset of the
electrical shaft.
– The recommended value applies to a synchronisation cycle of 2 ms, a

synchronisation phase (C1122) of 0.8 ms and a CAN baud rate of 500 kbps.

– Setting in case of a CAN baud rate of 1000 kbps: C4060 = (−)17380

Notes:

l

The input of negative values for the speed−proportional angular offset under
C4060 is correct since the setpoint position transferred to the slave within
the electrical shaft master is processed with an offset of one cycle time (2 ms)
but immediately in the slave. In total this results in a lead of the slave drives
despite the telegram runtimes and the sync phase setting C1122 = 0.8 ms.

l

The lead of the slaves compared to the master is approx. 1 ms = (2 ms − C1122
− sync telegram runtime).

l

If the speed is 15000 rpm, the drive would lead approx. 16400 inc within this
time of 1 ms. (

^ 235)

12. Set the positioning

profile for electrical shaft
operation and stretch
factor.

l

C3095 = 31; set the positioning profile mode to "E−shaft via CAN (X4)".

l

C3097 = 1000 / C3098 = 1000 ; set the stretch factor numerator and
denominator for the electrical shaft (e.g.: 1000 / 1000).

Notes:

l

Negative values in the numerator C3097 cause a reversal of direction of
rotation.

l

The machine parameters C1202 and C1203 for the gearbox ration are only
effective for positioning and do not influence the drive function "electrical
shaft".

13. Save settings with mains

failure protection.

l

C0003 = 1; save parameter set 1.

The settings for the slave drive are now completed.

Make the same settings for each slave drive in the drive system (from 7th).

In order to put the drive system into operation, the following actions must be carried out:

ƒ

Enable the slave drives by the master control (PLC) (

241) and start the positioning

profile with the setting profile mode = electrical shaft ("E−shaft") (

226).

ƒ

Enable the master drive by the master control (PLC) and start the corresponding
positioning profiles (

226).

I

Tip!

For test purposes, the control interface can be set to "control via codes" with
C4010 = 3. Then the control bits of the "Ctrl1" control word can be defined in
GDC via C4040 to control the drives without a master control.
