6.17 Setting the positioning profile
Up to 15 positioning profiles can be set in the ECSxP axis module to execute the different
positioning tasks required for a machine.
For setting a positioning profile, carry out the following steps:
ƒ Select the positioning profile mode via C3095. (
¶ 191)
ƒ Set positioning profile parameters. (
¶ 201)
ƒ Configure the additional functions of the positioning profile. ( ¶ 204)
The Global Drive Control (GDC) contains the corresponding codes in the parameter menu
under Profile 01..15.

ƒ The target position in C3100 must be between the positive and negative
value from C4265 (max. target position selection).
– Example: C4265 = 10000
ð C3100 = −10000 ... +10000
ƒ The maximum traversing range amounts to 2147483649 increments for all
positioning profile modes (2
31 − 1).
ƒ The position display C3051 is limited to ± 214000,0000 units.
