6.2.1 Operating states
"PosFunctions" state
These functions are permanently active, irrespective of the transitions of the state control.
In the states the following "PosFunctions" are carried out:
ƒ General control functions
ƒ Calculation of the monitoring functions (software limit positions, hardware limit
positions, following errors, etc.).
The individual operating states and the conditions for state changes (transitions) are
described in the following.
"Stand−by" state
The following actions are executed in "stand−by":
ƒ Checking and calculation of the maximum speed indicated in C3060.
ƒ Calculation/acceptance of the monitoring limit values, e.g.:
– Following error warning tolerance
– Following error limit
– Calculation of the positioning window for the message "Target position reached"
(Stat1.InTarget)
– Calculation of the time setting for the message "Dwell time elapsed"
(Stat1.DwellTime)
ƒ Setting of the home position
ð C3095/x = 101 (set home pos.)
ƒ Calculation of the internal values for homing.
"Init" state
This state is only activated once directly after the control voltage has been switched on.
The following actions are executed in "Init":
ƒ Identification of the drive hardware and firmware.
ƒ Identification and setting of the feedback systems for speed and position detection.
ƒ Checking of the home position if multi−turn absolute value encoders/resolvers are
used as absolute value encoders.
ƒ Calculation of the internal values for the positioning control.
"Trouble" state
This state is activated when the operating system of the drive or the application program
detects a fault.
The following actions are executed in "Trouble":
ƒ Current fault display.
ƒ Enabling the reset mechanism for fault states.
