6.3.2.2 CONFIG: All
Comtech EF Data highly recommends use of this menu branch for new users, as it allows step-
by-step configuration of unit operations in their entirety.
Each configuration screen provides access to specific operations and their submenus. To
execute:
• Use the ◄ ► and ▲▼ arrow keys as needed to select an operational submenu or to edit
parameters on the active screen.
• Press ENTER to proceed to the next configuration screen.
• Press CLEAR to discontinue and return to the CONFIG: menu.
The availability of configuration screens and related submenus is dependent on the active
operational settings. For example, the first available configuration screen under CONFIG: All is
the Framing Mode menu:
Framing Mode: U nframed
EDMAC EDMAC-2 (◄ ►,ENT)
If Unframed is the active setting and you press ENTER, the unit takes you to the next available
configuration screen – Data Interface:
Data Interface: RS422 IP
V.35 RS232 G.703 IP-ACM
However, if EDMAC or EDMAC-2 framing is active, the unit instead displays the nested Framing
Mix menu:
Framing Mix: AUPC-only
A UPC+EDMAC (◄ ►,ENTER)
In turn, selection of AUPC+EDMC from this submenu then displays the nested EDMAC MODE:
(Master/Slave) menu. If AUPC-only is active, however, upon pressing ENTER the unit displays
the Data Interface screen the next screen in this comprehensive configuration process (as
shown previously).
