7.4.3.3.5 Configuration | Managed Switch
1) This page is available only to Admin users and when you install the optional
Packet Processor.
2) If you submit any changes to this page, you must also open the ‘Admin | Pap
Save’ page (see Chapter Sect. 7.4.3.2.7) and immediately click [Save PaP
Parameters].
Managed Switch Mode is primarily intended for operation in a point-to-point topology. It
supports VLAN as well as advanced features such as QoS, Header Compression, and Payload
Compression.

• Tx Payload Compression, or L3/L4/L5 Tx Header Compression – When these features are
available, use the drop-down lists to select operation as Disabled, Enabled, or Per Route.
3xDES Encryption is a future offering and is not available in this firmware release.
This drop-down list is therefore non-functional at this time.
Click [Submit] to save.
Make sure to also click [Save PaP Parameters] on the ‘Admin | PaP Save’ page before
proceeding further.
7.4.3.3.6 Configuration | WAN Pages
1) These nested pages are available only to Admin users and when you install the
optional Packet Processor.
2) 3xDES Encryption is a future offering and is not available in this firmware
release. The nested Encryption page, while selectable and viewable, is therefore
non-functional at this time.
3) If you submit any changes to these pages, you must also open the ‘Admin | Pap
Save’ page (see Chapter Sect. 7.4.3.2.7) and immediately click [Save PaP
Parameters].
