If you wish to upgrade the CDM-570A/570AL’s optional Packet Processor functionality, Comtech
EF Data provides Fully Accessible System Topology (FAST). FAST technology permits the
purchase and installation of options through special authorization codes. These unique Fast
Access Codes may be purchased from Comtech EF Data Product Support, and then loaded into
the unit using the front panel keypad.
All IP FAST Options may be temporarily enabled using the 7-day Demo Mode.
Optional FAST Features are:
• IP Header Compression
• Payload Compression
• Advanced Quality of Service (QoS)
• Vipersat (VMS – Vipersat Management System)
• VFS (Vipersat File Streaming)

Demo Mode temporarily enables the following IP optional FAST features:
• IP Header Compression
• Payload Compression
• Advanced Quality of Service (QoS)
• Vipersat (VMS – Vipersat Management System)
• VFS (Vipersat File Streaming)
The Demo Mode is a cumulative counter that can be stopped and started at any time, for a total
time duration of up to seven (7) days, or 168 hours.
