N.1 Overview

The CDM-570AL and CDMR-570AL L-Band Satellite Modems may be referred to

throughout this appendix, collectively, as the CDM/R-570AL.

This appendix also identifies the CDM-570A, CDM-570AL, or CDMR-570AL Satellite

Modems, as equipped with the optional High Performance Packet Processor,

collectively as the CDM-570A/570AL-IP.

The CDM-570A/570AL-IP and other compatible, IP-centric Comtech EF Data modems

may also be generically referred to throughout this appendix as the CDM-IP.

The CDM-570A/570AL-IP can be configured for 1:1 IP Redundancy as a standard feature when

used with a Comtech EF Data CRS-180 (70/140 MHz IF) or CRS-170A (L-Band) 1:1 Redundancy
